About the Call
The Call is a quarterly newsletter designed specifically for the residents of Chapman Woods. Serving as a valuable source of information and communication, it aims to keep residents informed, engaged, and connected within their community. The call is supported by your membership dues as well as paid advertisements. The call is distributed quarterly for free by one of your Block Reps.
Each issue of The Call features a variety of sections that cater to the diverse needs and interests of homeowners. It often has a message from the president of the Chapman Woods Board, providing updates on recent neighborhood developments and important announcements.
One section of the newsletter is typically dedicated to showcasing the accomplishments and contributions of residents within the community. Whether it’s recognizing outstanding volunteers, highlighting successful neighborhood initiatives, or featuring stories of personal achievements, this section helps foster a sense of pride and appreciation for the residents’ efforts.
Additionally, The Call provides regular updates on ongoing projects, renovations, and initiatives within the community. This section aims to keep homeowners informed about any upcoming changes or improvements to the neighborhood, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in decision-making processes.
“So many of you have wanted a better way of spreading the local news than the telephone and the back fence….”
Vol. 1, No. 1 The Call, Jan 26, 1939
To further enhance community engagement, The Call often includes relevant articles and resources pertaining to home maintenance, landscaping tips, and information on local services and businesses. These articles aim to educate homeowners and promote a sense of shared responsibility in maintaining and improving the neighborhood.
The Call has a storied history, with the very first edition published in January of 1939.
